This traditional home had seen better days. Its character had been reduced in DIY projects over the years by closing off the front porch, chipped internals and tired external (red) paint jobs. It deserved more and the brief for the project was to rejuvenate the home all whilst maintaining the heritage character. By bringing back the porch and traditional window details, upgrading the kitchen and dining area and providing a first floor addition to utilise space and capture the amazing city views the house has life again. The addition is barely seen from the street and the light, bright materials of the new works delineate the old from new whilst still celebrating the life injected back in to the traditional front.
