Elegance and ambience from each space within a home. Surrounded by trees and set well back from the street, this facade delivers a punch to anyone who passes by. A series of staggered peaks are laid out in an articulated building envelope which provides a unique layering to the home's appearance.
The sloping site is traversed by soft graded landscapes and feature staircases that surround the elevated dwelling and a sub-floor basement maximises the 4-car garage and storage potential below, which in turn, maximises the usability of the floorplate of the main ground floor above.
There is the option to convert the front half of the house into a separate, rentable secondary dwelling, or use it as a grandparents or teen retreat. As a family home, the site is future proofed for either scenario, and internally a lift within the feature staircase provides total longevity for the owners.
The upper geometry contains pitched roofs to shed leaf litter from the surrounding trees and remove the requirement of box gutters that would require high levels of maintenance to function properly. The upper claddings are pre-finished, not requiring any re-painting for their usable life.
The backyard contains a glazed alfresco area and pool, all flowing directly from the concealed stackable entertainer doors and an articulated open plan living, kitchen and dining area shaped by feature ceilings above.
